US Senate Bean Soup – Great Northern white beans, onions, garlic, potato, chicken broth, roasted ham, butter, sea salt & pepper.
Since 1901, this soup has been served every day in the dining room of the United States Senate in Washington, D. C. Our version has much more ham than the one served in the Senate, where of course they use “pork” for many other “needs”.
Hot Curried Cream of Tomato Soup – Fresh tomatoes (in season), red onions, tomato juice, olive oil, garlic, Madras curry powder, lemon juice, red wine vinegar, Tabasco sauce, sugar, heavy cream, sea salt & pepper.
Serve hot with a dollop of sour cream and a sprinkling of chives!
